Scout Troopers are light reconnaissance units of the Galactic Empire.

They wear specialized armor that is lighter and more flexible than that of regular stormtroopers.
Their helmets provide an expanded field of vision and integrated targeting systems.

They specialize in reconnaissance, espionage, and fast attacks.
They are best known for using speeder bikes, which allow them to move at lightning speed.

Their first on-screen appearance was in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi.
There, they fought on the forest moon of Endor against the Rebels and the native Ewoks.
They were tasked with guarding the shield generator of the second Death Star.
Despite their technological superiority, they were defeated by the Rebels and Ewoks.

Scout Troopers are among the most tactically skilled ground forces of the Empire.
They usually operate in small squads or alone, far from the front lines.

In the series The Mandalorian, they appear again.
There, they are seen in scenes that are both humorous and brutal.
The series also highlights their weaknesses and poor aim—sometimes in a satirical way.
Nonetheless, Scout Troopers remain iconic figures of the Empire with strong visual recognition.
